Pricing

Critical Mix will quote you a flat fee for the setup, programming, hosting and administration of your online study. There are generally no "per respondent" charges, annual license fees, or other significant up-front investment. The following is our standard pricing:

US $2,500 - Programming and hosting of a basic questionnaire - 10-12 minutes in length (up to 10 pages in a Word document), up to 5,000 completes, online for up to one month, and no significant complexity (no conjoint or discrete choice, no graphics or videos, etc...)
US $3,500+ - Same as above plus discrete choice or conjoint component, or other significant complexity, extra length, large sample, graphics and/or video, etc...
Additional charges for longer or more complex surveys, larger target number of completes, multi-language studies, graphics and/or video, etc...

NOTE: All Critical Mix quotes are tied to the number of pages a questionnaire is in Word with standard formatting when it is given to us to program. This is because a questionnaire may only take a respondent 10 minutes to complete, but, due to skip logic, may actually be a 30 minute questionnaire to program! Questions, or blocks of questions, that repeat multiple times will be expanded and counted as separate questions when determining the number of pages for the final quote.

NOTE: If there are two different discrete choice exercises for different types of respondents, that counts as two exercises. If respondents go through a main discrete choice exercise, and then a separate calibration exercise, that counts as two exercises. If the same respondent has to take the exact same discrete choice exercise twice, that counts as two exercises.

NOTE: Critical Mix will provide an optional quote for sending emails to your client-provided list. You're welcome to use an alternate method for sending these emails if you choose to do so. Critical Mix has strict guidelines on sending email invitations for online studies to protect us, you, and your client from being accused of, or party to, sending "spam"; our ability to send email invitations requires adherence to those guidelines and approval by our broadcast email service provider. These guidelines are outlined in a FAQ on the Critical Mix web site.
