A New Voice to the Customer
The rapid deployment of artificial intelligence (AI), automation and machine learning across all types of industries, opens the door to endless applications to increase simplicity and productivity – improving the efficiencies throughout every aspect of business.
Over the past 5 years, there has been explosive growth in voice control and voice-based technologies commonly referred to as digital or virtual assistants. The combination of advancements in machine learning, voice recognition and natural language processing along with the popularity of portable devices has fueled this growth.
In developing an understanding of these technologies and their benefits, it became apparent that it could be used to conduct a new way to better serve our customers, making it easier for them to engage with us. It was a perfect complement to our business strategy of simplification.
Recently, Critical Mix developed and has introduced an AI voice-enabled Alexa skill for customers. Alexa skills are similar to apps. Alexa provides voice-driven capabilities, or skills, that enable customers to create a more personalized experience. You can enable and disable skills, using the Alexa app or a web browser, in the same way that you install and uninstall apps on your smart phone or tablet.
The Critical Mix Alexa skill uses voice recognition to provide faster interaction with account teams and get answers to frequently asked questions. With the sound of their voice, customers can now ask Alexa for new project quotes, find out population incidence, ask someone to call them or even listen to a market research joke.
The amount and extent of capabilities is endless and every month new skills will be added to enhance productivity.
